Public speaking competition is designed for all level of students who are studying English at GRAND MOUNT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL in both full-time and part-time classes.
With this competition, students will be wide-awake to study hard in order to improve their ability for the competition and they will have ability to speak confidently and convincingly in public. It is useful to someone who wants to take an active role in the classroom, workplace, and community. Mastering the skills of public speaking will accelerate students’ professional and personal goals.
Public speaking (also called oratory or oration) is the process or act of performing a speech to live the audiences. This type of speech is deliberately structured with three general purposes: to inform, to persuade and to entertain.
Objectives
• Build confidence in speaking
• Understand how to use language and organize thoughts to convey messages to large
audiences
• Learn appropriate body language and techniques when presenting to the public
• Utilize techniques to control anxiety
• Learn how to respond to audience questions and how to manage a hostile audience.
• Students will be inclined to be competitive in joining competitions and build a professional attitude among other public speakers.
